Mite is a mother 2 and grandmother 4. She was born and raised in Congo, East Africa. As a child Mite was inspired by her parents to work with babies. Her father was a doctor and her mother a midwife. As a child she recalls having to accompany her father to births and visited with her mothers postpartum clients. Watching her parents work with expecting mothers encouraged Mite to became a postpartum doula. She took
postpartum doula training from Shakila’s Postpartum Workshop. Prior to becoming a postpartum doula, Mite has worked with children as a nanny for 10 years. She also has experience working as a Certified Nurse Assistant at San Francisco General Hospital. In her free time Mite enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, loves to cook, and go
for walks.
