Laura was born in Chicago, IL. She grew up in the midwest in a wild and wonderful house full of siblings and pets. With a very early interest in childcare and education, she started caring for her siblings at 8, babysitting for other children at 11 and working as a full time nanny at 18. After undergrad, she went on to graduate school to become an educator.

After 12 years of experience as a teacher, sex & consent educator, and nanny, she made the seamless transition into full spectrum doula work. Laura became certified as a birth and postpartum doula in 2018. She has also completed training in the Rebozo technique, for comfort during labor and Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support.

Her professional philosophy focuses on natural support for labor, making room for emotional and spiritual expression of all kinds, providing as much education as possible, and meeting families exactly where they are at. She wants to
support clients in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey that they are looking for. In all of her work, she puts the highest value of importance on informed consent and clear communication.

Laura is queer, ethically non-monogamous, and changes her hair color often. When she’s not providing support, she loves to read, write, play board games, and snuggle with her two rescue chihuahuas.
