Margaret has been a nanny for 13 years and a certified postpartum doula since 2016. While she enjoyed being a nanny, she felt a strong desire to offer more to families with newborns. As a postpartum doula, she loves to help assist families in this very important phase in their lives. In addition to being certified, she has taken a number of trainings on topics such as breastfeeding and sleep training.
Margaret is originally from Kenya and before moving to the United States, she worked with special needs children of all ages. She also volunteered regularly in hospitals, churches, and conferences to help with childcare. She chose to follow this same passion when she immigrated to the U.S. in 2002 by working with families and their children.
Margaret brings a lot of energy and a nurturing, positive attitude to the families she takes care of. She herself is a mother of two daughters, so she understands the desires of other families for a warm, nurturing atmosphere for their babies. In her free time, she loves to travel, dance, read, volunteer and cook her favorite Kenyan foods.
